About the position

The Metro College Internship Program is seeking a Graphic Designer intern to create compelling visuals for both print and digital platforms. This role focuses on transforming ideas from creative briefs into visually engaging products, collaborating with various team members to address communication challenges. The internship provides hands-on experience in the transit industry, allowing interns to work on projects that promote Metro initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design layouts for print and digital platforms.
  • Transform ideas and information from creative briefs into visual products.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, videographers, and project managers to brainstorm solutions.
  • Assist in all aspects of design from concept development to final production.
  • Compile, review, and analyze data for reports.
  • Research data and assist in preparing management and technical reports.
  • Produce tangible work products including presentations and graphic representations of data.
  • Review reports to identify problems and recommend solutions as instructed.
  • Participate in training sessions and departmental meetings.

Requirements

  • Must be attending an accredited college or university pursuing a relevant degree.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 required.
  • Must be a rising college freshman or higher.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
