About the position

The Metro College Internship Program offers a Management Associate internship in the Office of Sustainability within the Department of Planning & Performance. This role is designed for college students interested in sustainability, climate, and renewable energy, providing hands-on experience in various sustainability projects and initiatives. Interns will engage in data analysis, research, and support for sustainability programs, contributing to Metro's commitment to green travel in the National Capital Region.

Responsibilities

• Support the Office of Sustainability programs through energy/utility data analysis.
• Conduct energy policy research and assist in presentation and document formatting.
• Develop data visualizations and support event planning.
• Assist in newsletter and meeting support activities.
• Compile, review, and analyze data for reports.
• Research data for management, operations, technical, and administrative reports.
• Produce presentations, reports, and graphic representations of data.
• Participate in training sessions and departmental meetings.

Requirements

• Must be attending an accredited college or university pursuing a relevant degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 required.
• Must be a rising college Senior.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a transit rider is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
