About The Position

The position involves executing targeted recruitment workshops to enroll eligible middle and high school participants in the METS program. The role includes providing academic, career, and educational advising, as well as academic support and cultural experiences to facilitate a successful transition into college. The goal is to assist at least 80% of 12th-grade participants in accessing college each year. This is a soft-money funded, 9-month position with a typical hiring range of $26,700-$38,000 based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in educational counseling, education, or a related field.
• Ability to relate to and work with disadvantaged youth, schools, and community agencies.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Demonstrated experience working with low-income and educationally disadvantaged youth in an educational environment.
• Valid driver's license for travel.
