In this role, you will have direct accountability for the evaluation of fixtures, equipment, hand tools, and time studies necessary for the manufacture of assemblies and end products related to current or future programs. You will assist the EHS Coordinator with ergonomics programs and contribute to the plant's Health and Safety initiatives. Your responsibilities will include providing engineering assistance in the design and manufacture of fixtures, machines, and tools for seat assemblies, ensuring that all ergonomic and safety standards are met. You will also be involved in preparing Failure Mode Effects Analysis Reports and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, following up on issue resolution and audits, and recommending necessary modifications or improvements to maintain compliance with laws. Additionally, you will assist in developing and implementing safety and health programs aimed at preventing or correcting unsafe working conditions, examining plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to ensure all safety precautions are included, and conducting plant and area surveys to determine safe exposure limits to various materials and conditions. You will administer and ensure compliance with the Quality, Environmental, and Material Management System requirements as outlined in the policy manuals, and you may serve as an ISO 14001 Auditor or Working Group Member as requested. Reporting all accidents and injuries in a timely manner and complying with all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter and the Occupational Health & Safety Act are also key aspects of this position.
