About the position

The Sales and Leadership Trainee position at Hajoca Corporation is designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in sales, business operations, or management. This full-time role offers a structured, multi-year rotational program that provides trainees with comprehensive exposure to various aspects of the business, including operations, sales, and customer service. Trainees will receive coaching from experienced managers and will have opportunities to develop their skills and career goals within a decentralized environment that values service, integrity, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about and perform work related to business operations such as receiving and shipping material, processing returned goods, and making deliveries.
  • Participate in vendor product knowledge sessions and complete related online courses.
  • Assist customers and teammates in counter sales, process sales orders, and maintain the display area.
  • Gain experience working with residential, commercial, and repair and remodel contractors.
  • Complete tasks related to pricing and margin management, bids, quotes, and product procurement in sales.
  • Develop relationships with vendors and participate in joint sales calls with outside salespersons.
  • Engage in career discussions with the Profit Center Manager to explore business interests.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in customer service, sales, management, or leadership roles.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company criteria.
  • Ability to build influential relationships and trust with customers and vendors.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to persuade.
  • Ability to adapt to changes within the work environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work projects and multi-task effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to learn and operate applicable software systems and technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a leadership role or management training program.
  • Familiarity with warehouse material-handling equipment.
