About the position

As the Manager of Brand Communications at CAVA, you will be instrumental in enhancing the visibility and authority of the CAVA brand through strategic public relations initiatives. This role involves managing media relations, leading social impact communications, and collaborating with various internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging that aligns with the company's marketing and business goals. You will report to the Vice President of Corporate Communications and work closely with senior leadership to deliver effective communication strategies that resonate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive public communications strategies aligned with the restaurant's marketing and business goals.
  • Create and manage PR campaigns, activations, and outreach from conception to implementation.
  • Track and analyze PR metrics to measure effectiveness.
  • Monitor emerging issues and trends, identifying potential newsjacking opportunities.
  • Lead the work of the PR agency team and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers.
  • Develop social impact communications programming to engage various audiences.
  • Craft strategic messaging and create storytelling opportunities to promote CAVA's impact initiatives.
  • Lead communications initiatives in support of the company's Employment Branding strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in public relations, communications, or a related field.
  • Strategic thinker with proven success in developing communications programs.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and copy-editing skills, preferably with experience in corporate communications or journalism.
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, or consumer packaged goods is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and various PR, social media, and employee communications platforms.
  • BA degree in communications, PR, journalism, or a related field.
