About the position

The Manager, Business Development, Facilitated Enrollments, is a pivotal role within Molina Healthcare, responsible for overseeing daily operations and driving both individual and team performance. This position requires a dynamic leader who will manage a team of Facilitated Enrollers across designated regions, making data-informed decisions to enhance performance, optimize resource allocation, and generate leads. As a field-based leadership role, the Manager is accountable for achieving sales and enrollment targets while increasing market share. This involves leveraging product and market synergies to drive overall membership growth and retention. The Manager will also lead managed-care related business development activities, which may include attending and participating in national, state, and local conferences, seminars, and meetings, as well as providing any necessary business development support activities. In this role, the Manager will manage and oversee a local field-based team of Facilitated Enrollers who orchestrate member events, potential customer events, and community-based goodwill initiatives to position Molina as the insurer of choice. The Manager will lead business development support projects from inception through completion, developing and executing effective business plans that reflect strategy, tactics, key relationships, and necessary resources for the respective region. This includes setting goals, recruitment, organizing sales/business development events, establishing market partnerships, and fostering engagement. Regular sales-related training and coaching will be a critical component of this role, focusing on increasing sales, overcoming objections, expanding markets, and enhancing presentation skills. The Manager will build, maintain, deepen, and leverage both internal and external strategic relationships to create sales opportunities. Additionally, the role involves leading analyses and market research to inform business development activities, gathering intelligence, and monitoring activities in other markets. The Manager will also collaborate with the Marketing team to produce positive outcomes, particularly in lead generation, member enrollment, and overall membership growth. A strong emphasis will be placed on the professional development of the team, mentoring the Facilitated Enrollers, and developing and implementing provider engagement strategies while ensuring compliance with state regulations and health plan policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a local field-based team of Facilitated Enrollers that orchestrate member events and community-based goodwill initiatives.
  • Lead business development support projects from inception through completion.
  • Develop and execute effective business plans reflecting strategy, tactics, key relationships, and necessary resources for the respective region.
  • Conduct regular sales-related training and coaching to increase sales and overcome objections.
  • Build, maintain, deepen, and leverage internal and external strategic relationships to create sales opportunities.
  • Lead analyses and market research utilized for business development activities.
  • Gather research and intelligence, including monitoring activity in other markets.
  • Create and execute effective resource sharing strategies, including lead routing and community meeting assignments.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to produce positive outcomes in lead generation and membership growth.
  • Focus on professional development of the team and mentoring the Facilitated Enrollers.
  • Develop and implement provider engagement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and health plan policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of sales or sales management experience in a regulated environment.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of business to business, business to consumer direct marketing, outside sales, or community outreach experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and agility in using data management databases (e.g., SharePoint, PowerBi).
  • Strong communication skills, including written, phone, and video communication.
  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to engage customers and prospective members.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize deliverables effectively.
  • Experience in sourcing and using market research information and strategies.
  • Prior experience in structured sales, service, or business development.
  • Experience in a deadline-driven environment to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Understanding of Individual Exchange, Medicaid, and NY State of Health Marketplace.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid state driver's license with no restrictions.
