About the position

Elbit Systems of America is seeking a Manager of Business Development for its Precision Combat Systems (PCS) division. This role is pivotal in driving business development activities focused on customer engagement, requirements shaping, and new business generation within the defense sector, particularly in Radio Frequency (RF), terminal phase munitions, and multi-mode seeker systems. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience and a proven track record in business development, particularly in interfacing with air, land, and naval services. The Manager will be responsible for leading the development of a strategic roadmap that supports new business initiatives over a five-year horizon. This includes making recommendations and developing action plans to position Elbit Systems favorably for future procurements and programs. The role requires identifying and leading partnering opportunities with Prime Contractors and Department of Defense (DoD) commands and labs for the development and integration of Electronic Scanning Array (ESA) seekers. Additionally, the Manager will assess emerging technological areas and establish personal relationships with various DoD agencies and labs to ensure Elbit America’s involvement in key projects. The position also involves assessing annual service budgets and long-range plans to recommend target areas that align with the ESA long-range roadmap. The Manager will work closely with Field Marketing colleagues to build relationships with DoD acquisition offices and service staffs, ensuring that Elbit Systems maintains a strong presence in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage business development activities for PCS.
  • Lead and assist in the development of a 5-year strategic roadmap supporting new business.
  • Make recommendations and develop action plans for future procurements and programs.
  • Identify and lead partnering opportunities with Prime Contractors and DoD commands.
  • Assess emerging technological areas and establish relationships with DoD agencies.
  • Assess annual service budgets and recommend key areas to target.
  • Partner with Field Marketing to establish relationships with DoD acquisition offices.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key industry and government customers.
  • Champion Go/No-Go assessments and campaign plans for strategic areas.
  • Continuously assess capabilities against customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10 years of business development experience in relevant fields.
  • Security Clearance Required: Secret.
  • Detailed knowledge of DoD materiel requirements generation and acquisition.
  • Previous experience in the DoD acquisition process is desirable.
  • Strong work ethic and good business sense.
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of export/import regulations (ITAR) is a plus.
  • Strategic planning experience is a plus.
  • Impeccable ethics and integrity.
