About the position

The Manager of External Reporting at Reworld is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of external financial reports, including quarterly and annual facility financial reports, ESG reporting, and earnings releases. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance with accounting principles and SEC regulations, while also demonstrating leadership and initiative in improving reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare periodic financial filings for compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Prepare footnotes to financial statements, including acquisitions, stock-based compensation, and debt.
  • Coordinate financial information for quarterly earnings and press releases with FP&A and Investor Relations.
  • Perform detailed reviews of all filings for accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain electronic documentation support for all filings.
  • Work closely with auditors, legal counsel, and executive management to coordinate audits and reviews.
  • Prepare Audit Committee presentations and respond to ad hoc requests from senior management.
  • Review new accounting technical guidance for applicability and propose implementation plans.
  • Review peer company filings for best practices and recommend improvements.
  • Lead the ESG reporting preparation process and coordinate disclosures with the Sustainability group.
  • Prepare debt covenant calculations and stand-alone facility financial statements.
  • Review annual employee benefit plan reports for accuracy.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and prepare memoranda as necessary.
  • Oversee the work of junior staff members as needed.
  • Provide support on special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 8 or more years of accounting/financial reporting experience required.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Public company experience required.
  • Big 4 or equivalent SEC Reporting experience preferred.
  • Experience responding to SEC comment letters is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting standards including FASB, EITF, SEC, and PCAOB pronouncements.
  • Strong analytical, project management, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Experience with Workiva external reporting software is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Flexibility to work longer hours during peak reporting periods.
  • Good understanding of cash flow statements and ability to manage the cash flow statement process.
