About the position

The Manager of Health Care Administration for Vascular Surgery at the University of Florida is responsible for overseeing the quality improvement efforts and operations of the clinical service. This role involves managing administrative functions, supporting clinical faculty, and enhancing patient satisfaction through strategic planning and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Provide managerial oversight for the development and direction of UF Vascular Surgery quality improvement efforts and operations.
  • Supervise the division's Administrative Specialist I (Office Manager) and assist as needed.
  • Report directly to the Director of the Department of Surgery and the chief of the Vascular Surgery service.
  • Serve as a project manager supporting Vascular clinical faculty and clinical service support.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new hires and act as an administrative liaison for Divisional faculty and staff.
  • Focus on patient-centric reorganization and training, including attending conferences as part of the Department of Surgery team.
  • Establish and manage analytical reports to monitor Division performance.
  • Oversee divisional clinical policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to support strategic growth of the practice.
  • Monitor and manage Vascular Surgery financial reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's degree in an appropriate area or equivalent experience in the healthcare administration field is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of UFP clinic operations.
