About the position

The Mgr, Network Planning role at Baxter is pivotal in leading the regional and/or Global Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SI&OP) process. This position serves as the primary liaison between demand and supply within a specific Global Business Unit (GBU) or region, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between commercial and supply chain teams. The role involves defining and implementing organizational strategies, managing a team of Network Planners, and driving improvements in supply chain performance to meet inventory targets and support overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the regional and/or Global SI&OP process
  • Support the transition from SI&OP to Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process
  • Define and approve Supply Chain Network design
  • Define and approve supply chain business rules and planning parameters
  • Formulate and communicate tactical mid to long-term plans to support Commercial, Financial, and Operational strategies
  • Monitor supply chain performance, identify and drive improvement opportunities
  • Be accountable for achieving inventory targets across the end-to-end supply network
  • Proactively manage supply chain risks and escalate issues where appropriate
  • Collaborate with Network planners, Demand planners, Manufacturing, and Commercial leadership to resolve supply issues
  • Provide input to Region and Global Financial planning and forecasting processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years related experience in supply chain management including warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, customer service, and/or inventory planning
  • Detailed working knowledge of effective Supply Chain performance, including Operations management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to judge when to deep dive
  • Extensive knowledge of import/export regulations
  • Proficient in RapidResponse or other relevant planning systems
  • Significant experience in prioritization and ability to adapt to change
  • Proven stakeholder management skills including influencing, communication, negotiating, and conflict management
  • Basic project management skills and lean/continuous improvement
  • Customer-focused, service mindset
  • Local language skills required
  • APICS certification is a plus
