About the position

This position plays a crucial role in leading strategic program efforts for the organization by effectively managing a set of strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will leverage project management, quality improvement, design/systems thinking, operational excellence, business process reengineering, change management, and process improvement core capabilities. This role interfaces directly with the executive team to drive program strategy and efficiently achieve project objectives. The individual will lead multidisciplinary teams to meet or exceed targeted goals through expert-level program management. The responsibilities of this position include leading impactful strategic initiatives, ensuring program goals are achieved within budgetary, time, and organizational parameters. The candidate will also develop program curriculum and serve as an instructor for PMO training programs. They will shape the strategic approach of programs, build governance infrastructure, facilitate solution design, and drive execution. The role requires applying project management methodologies and tools to efficiently navigate the project lifecycle, leveraging sponsors to plan and direct work, remove obstacles, and hold the team accountable for results. Additionally, the candidate will analyze and visualize data to provide insight and encourage action from the team, while remaining knowledgeable about current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead impactful strategic initiatives, ensuring program goals are achieved within budgetary, time, and organizational parameters.
  • Develop program curriculum and serve as instructor for PMO training programs.
  • Shape strategic approach of programs, build governance infrastructure, facilitate solution design, and drive execution.
  • Apply project management methodologies and tools to efficiently navigate the project lifecycle.
  • Leverage sponsors to plan and direct work, remove obstacles, and hold team accountable for results.
  • Identify and apply appropriate improvement science approaches (DMAIC, PDSA, blend) to solve process design problems.
  • Analyze and visualize data to provide insight and encourage action from the team.
  • Communicate program strategy clearly to project teams and senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Health, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 7 years' Project Management related experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficient with Windows-style applications and various software packages specific to the role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with physicians, operations, and corporate divisions.

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Health, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
