About the position

The Manager of Portfolio Operations Tools at Comcast is responsible for utilizing advanced program management skills to support the strategic plan of the Program Office organization. This role involves developing and delivering architectural solutions for Program Services tools, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and mentoring peers. The position requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage program scope, schedule, and resources, while also addressing risks and ensuring quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the scope of programs as defined by business requirements and budget process.
  • Participate in key planning milestones and obtain participation from required cross-functional teams.
  • Build program plans and maintain program records, identifying and scheduling all work for end-to-end deployment.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of key goals, objectives, and success criteria for the program with stakeholders.
  • Support the budget and resource forecasting process.
  • Analyze areas of risk and establish contingency plans, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Track and manage the program schedule, ensuring milestones are accomplished and timelines are met.
  • Communicate updates on major milestones and keep stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
  • Monitor and ensure quality of program deliverables, developing strategies and tools for implementation in the field.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in program and project management.
  • Strong skills in process design, facilitation, troubleshooting, and communication.
  • Experience with the Smartsheet platform and user interface (UI) design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the media and technology industry.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile).
