About the position

The Social Media Content Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies that create engaging and shareable content across various platforms. This role requires expertise in social media management, content creation, video editing, and graphics that align with our brand's goals. The Social Media Content Manager will partner with key internal and external team members to create high-quality content regularly and consistently, adhering to a strategic editorial calendar. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills to define the right priorities and drive the content strategy effectively. In this role, the manager will lead the global social media content strategy for the business, focusing on delivery and growth metrics that align with company goals and target audience needs. Collaboration with marketing, product, and sales teams is essential to understand audience personas, industry trends, and customer pain points, which will inform content creation. The manager will oversee a team responsible for developing and maintaining a content capture calendar that fuels the editorial calendar, ensuring transparency for consistent and timely content delivery across various platforms. The Social Media Content Manager will also collaborate with the Creative Director to package a unified social media visual and verbal system that adheres to brand standards in a social-first manner. This role involves managing social designers, writers, editors, producers, and other collaborators to efficiently deliver a consistent stream of multimedia content. Monitoring content performance metrics, analyzing data, and providing insights to refine content strategies and improve engagement are key responsibilities. The manager will strategize, package, shape, and present compelling narratives that resonate with customers to build the brand's presence. Additionally, the manager will autonomously create short-form stories across various earned and owned channels and partner with the PR team to build engaging content that supports PR and communication efforts. Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and content marketing best practices is crucial. The Social Media Content Manager will establish an influential voice in shaping the growth of the Silversea brand, becoming the go-to person for all organic content, and enabling go-to-market team members to leverage content to engage prospective customers effectively. Weekly reporting and status updates to supervisors and executives will also be part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global social media content strategy for the business with a focus on delivery and growth metrics aligned with company goals and target audience needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, and/or related field experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in content marketing and/or social media role.
  • Experience creating and directing multimedia content production for social media, website, email, and/or more.
  • Comfortable crafting written, design, and video content.
  • Experience shooting short-form social content on iPhone or DSLR camera, ensuring lighting, sound, and camera angles are premium.
  • Ability to work at a rapid pace delivering multiple varied edits throughout the week.
  • Hyper-organized and comfortable wrangling resources, timelines, technology, and people to accomplish objectives.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Understanding of consumer product brand and competitive research.
  • Strong critical decision-making and excellent communication skills.
  • Cross-functional leadership expertise in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Self-starter with ability to maintain poise when dealing with ambiguity.
  • Experience creating and managing detailed timelines.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite Products.
