About the position

Desert View Hospital is seeking a Manager of Supply Chain Operations to oversee the planning, organizing, developing, and managing of the overall operations of Distribution and Central Supply. The Manager will be responsible for implementing best practices in supply chain management, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and standards. The position requires a strong focus on service excellence, as the Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure that all supply needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. In addition to managing daily operations, the Manager will lead a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and professional development. The role involves collaborating with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure the hospital receives the best value for its purchases. The Manager will also be responsible for analyzing supply chain data to identify trends and areas for improvement, ultimately contributing to the hospital's overall operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain principles, particularly within a healthcare setting, and will be adept at using technology to streamline processes. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, organizing, developing, and managing of Distribution and Central Supply operations.
  • Implement best practices in supply chain management to optimize inventory levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or sufficient work experience in a related field.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience within a hospital Supply Chain or Purchasing operation.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and material management systems.
