About the position
The LVN II position at Pecan Valley Centers involves joining a mental health team in a fast-paced clinic environment, providing essential services to children and adults with serious mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. The role requires a focus on patient interaction and collaboration with various healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct focused physical assessments including vital signs, EKGs, and labs.
- Manage prior authorizations and maintain timely concurrent computer documentation.
- Order prescription drugs and administer injectable medications.
- Engage in frequent communication via phone, email, face-to-face, and telemedicine with physicians, ANPs, patients, caregivers, case managers, and pharmacies.
- Travel region-wide as required.
Requirements
- Valid LVN license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Some mental health experience preferred.
- Stable employment history.
- Professional and diplomatic demeanor.
- Energetic and organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and above-average computer skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Determined patient advocacy and superior customer service.
