About the position
The Mental Health Professional role involves providing individualized, client-centered services to individuals in community and home-based settings. The position requires regular assessment of clients' goals, strengths, and needs for community resources, along with crisis intervention services as needed. The professional will ensure that each consumer has an Individualized Recovery Plan and will document services provided in accordance with agency standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized client-centered services to individuals in a community and home-based setting.
- Regularly assess consumers' goals and strengths as well as needs for community resources.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed and in accordance with agency policies.
- Ensure that each consumer has an Individualized Recovery Plan on file within 30 days and is updated in collaboration with the MHS, under the supervision of the LMHP every 120 days.
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with employees, families, schools, individuals, and the public.
- Document services provided in a concise and timely manner in accordance with agency standards.
- Participate in all scheduled staff meetings, trainings, and supervisions.
- Adhere to and uphold the ethical standards of the profession.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed and/or outlined by the Program Director.
- Meet or exceed productivity expectations.
- May collaborate with other professionals, but primarily works independently.
Requirements
- A Bachelor or Master of Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or Sociology in a mental health related field.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individual's and program's needs.
- Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
- Must have the ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.
- Must be able to pass a Background Check.
