About the position

The MICE Sales Account Manager at MSC Cruises serves as the primary contact for MICE Group and Charter sales programs. This role involves quoting MICE groups, collaborating with various departments to secure new business, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. The position requires strategic planning and execution of sales strategies to meet annual goals and ensure successful incentive program delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the direct contact for all MICE Group and Charter sales programs.
  • Quote MICE groups and work with Revenue and Deployment teams.
  • Seek out and secure new group and charter business.
  • Maintain current customer relationships and provide timely follow-up.
  • Plan, develop, and execute sales strategies in collaboration with the MICE & Charter Sales Director.
  • Facilitate special requests by coordinating with department heads.
  • Track payments and invoices for Group and Charter Programs.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
  • Manage and track MICE marketing budgets.
  • Assist with other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in sales and service support role in the travel/tourism segment.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in additional languages is considered an advantage.
  • Experience in the cruise industry or similar sectors.
