About the position

The MDM Engineer position is focused on managing and supporting the Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform, specifically AirWatch MDM, for a leading financial services company. This on-site contract role involves ensuring the performance, security, and compliance of mobile devices and applications, as well as maintaining disaster recovery environments to align with corporate business continuity plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 and 3 end user support.
  • Support MDM solutions, specifically AirWatch MDM.
  • Manage device inventory including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning.
  • Ensure device security through containerization and compliance policies.
  • Oversee mobile application management and approved application store management.
  • Manage relationships with mobile carriers and their services.
  • Engineer mobility solutions including next-generation MDM platforms.
  • Maintain on-premises server MDM infrastructure and connectivity to Workspace ONE cloud tenant.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Access.
  • Knowledge of Apple DEP/ABM/VPP/APNS.
  • Understanding of Android EMM and Work Profile vs Work Managed.
  • Experience with UEM device profiles for iOS/Android.
  • Familiarity with UEM compliance policies and repositories.
  • Experience with device enrollments for Apple, Android, Windows PC/Laptop, and MacOS.
  • Knowledge of core Workspace ONE apps such as Hub, Boxer, Content, Web, and Tunnel.
  • Experience with LDAP, Directory Services, and Secure LDAP.
  • Understanding of Workspace ONE infrastructure components like Cloud Connector and Universal Access Gateway.
  • General knowledge of VPN tunneling and AD structures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with O365 and Federated authentication.
  • Understanding of certificates and APIs.
  • Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery sites.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for incident management and reporting.
  • Windows server administration experience.
