About the position

The Micro-Architecture Design Verification Architect at AMD plays a crucial role in driving innovation and quality in the Infinity Fabric design verification team. This position focuses on enhancing micro-architectural verification initiatives across various components, impacting product quality and time to market for AMD's diverse product lines, including Client, Server, Graphics, and Semi-Custom markets.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and component level verification leads to drive quality into Infinity Fabric architecture.
  • Drive innovation to improve Data Fabric IP quality and reduce pre-silicon verification timelines.
  • Architect and build directed and random verification tests, incorporating new methodologies such as formal and emulation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Expertise in complex IP level verification and a strong understanding of CPU micro-architecture and Fabric architecture.
  • Proficiency in using UVM testbenches and hands-on experience with UVM concepts and System Verilog.
  • Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, C, C++, Perl, and Ruby.
  • Experience working on complex server or notebook products is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML accelerators and data center GPUs is an added advantage.
  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.
