About the position

The Micro Assembly Process Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing equipment for automated assembly and semiconductor testing devices. This role involves managing probe card manufacturing operations, focusing on process development, continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with new product requirements. The engineer will also lead equipment upgrades, manage capacity models, and support engineering activities to enhance production efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Process and develop equipment for automation assembly and semiconductor testing devices.
  • Perform medium to complex functions associated with probe card manufacturing operations.
  • Drive equipment-related activities including development, spare parts management, and performance analysis.
  • Measure system assurance and capability improvements.
  • Systematize processes by providing mainline build support for NCR dispositions and NPI activities.
  • Modify automated assembly processes to comply with new product requirements.
  • Build first article probe cards and ensure proper assembly and verification.
  • Lead assembly equipment upgrades based on quality and throughput improvements.
  • Manage capacity models to establish human or equipment needs for product ramps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience using statistical program software (JMP, Minitab) for analysis models.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of surface finish manufacturing processes (grinding, polishing, lapping) with tight tolerances.
  • Experience with NPI processes and equipment assessment.
  • Experience in micro assembly process and equipment performance CPI.
  • Proficiency in using microscopes, micromanipulators, and metrology tools.
