About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an experienced Application Programmer specializing in MicroStrategy and Tableau for a long-term contract position in the financial industry. The role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and testing software solutions while collaborating with teams in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will quickly achieve subject matter expertise and contribute to the successful delivery of application solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and test software for the ECR R&A team
• Collaborate with the development team and business partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in a dynamic Agile environment
• Achieve subject matter expertise quickly on new applications

Requirements

• 7+ years of programming experience
• Micro Strategy and Tableau developer with hands-on experience in Exadata/Netezza, big data, data analytics, Relational databases SQL/PL*SQL programming
• Financial services industry experience with background in Wholesale/Retail Credit Risk products is a definite plus
• Java programming experience with understanding of Hadoop, Autosys, Talend and ETL tools
• Excellent software design, build, test and documentation skills
• Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment
• Proven track record in strong reporting skills working on Tableau and MicroStrategy along with database skills Oracle/SQL Server/Exadata, performance tuning, ETL processes, Windows and Linux environments
• Experience in multiple database platforms is preferred: SQL Server, Oracle, Exadata, Big data

Nice-to-haves

• Programming experience on Java, Hadoop / Big Data, Teradata, Hadoop and Netezza experience
