About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. The role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and testing software for the ECR R&A team. The successful candidate will collaborate with the development team and business partners to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in a dynamic Agile environment. The position requires the ability to achieve subject matter expertise quickly on new applications, which is crucial for the role's success.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and test software for the ECR R&A team
• Collaborate with the development team and business partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in a dynamic Agile environment
• Achieve subject matter expertise quickly on new applications

Requirements

• 7+ years of programming experience
• Micro Strategy and Tableau developer with hands-on experience in Exadata/Netezza, big data, data analytics, Relational databases SQL/PL*SQL programming
• Financial services industry experience with background in Wholesale/Retail Credit Risk products is a definite plus
• Java programming experience with understanding of Hadoop, Autosys, Talend and ETL tools
• Excellent software design, build, test and documentation skills
• Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment
• Proven track record in strong reporting skills working on Tableau and MicroStrategy along with database skills Oracle/SQL Server/Exadata, performance tuning, ETL processes, Windows and Linux environments
• Experience in multiple database platforms is preferred: SQL Server, Oracle, Exadata, Big data

Nice-to-haves

• Programming experience on Java, Hadoop / Big Data, Teradata, Hadoop and Netezza experience
