About the position
IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Technician (Microbiology) position at its facility in Modesto, CA. This position involves various laboratory tasks and requires a strong understanding of microbiological techniques.
Responsibilities
- Sample preparation
- Sample sorting and log-in
- Sample testing steps (under supervision)
- Transcribing results
- Data entry
- Inventory control
- Washing glassware
- General laboratory cleaning
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- An associate degree in Microbiology or related field (required)
- Basic math skills
- Good attitude and willingness to work with others
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow written directions
- Ability to regularly lift up to 20lbs
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
Nice-to-haves
- A BS or BA degree in Microbiology or related field (preferred)
