About the position

Stryker is seeking a Microbiologist to join our Global Quality Operations team in Arlington, TN. This role involves performing sterility release reviews, interpreting data and trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance cost savings and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterility release reviews and interpret data and trends.
• Conduct environmental monitoring of cleanrooms for viable air, viable surface, and particulate in accordance with ISO 14644 standards.
• Monitor utilities including all grades of water and compressed air as necessary.
• Coordinate samples for bioburden and endotoxin testing.
• Apply statistical and analysis techniques to determine control and trending from sampling and monitoring data.
• Order consumables and general stock for day-to-day laboratory operations.
• Apply cGLP to all laboratory activities including stock control.
• Perform sampling for validations and re-qualifications as required.
• Review validation files for compliance.
• Maintain strong interactions and support with sterility suppliers.
• Lead NC and CAPA generation and resolution within the Microbiology group and across related business units.
• Troubleshoot and correct NC and conduct root cause analysis.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of local procedures and policies to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 0+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Highly developed problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and complete projects in a matrix organization.
• High level of PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Microbiology.
