About the position

Pacific BioLabs is seeking a full-time Microbiology Laboratory Analyst II/III or Senior Analyst to join their Microbiology Services Department. This role involves performing microbiological tests, managing samples, and maintaining laboratory standards in compliance with regulatory requirements. The analyst will contribute to the department's goals through laboratory testing, training, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological tests in accordance with SOPs, cGMP, cGLP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct environmental monitoring and sample collection.
• Participate in method development, modification, and validation testing.
• Support Quality Management System investigations for non-conformance results.
• Complete assigned CAPA tasks and change controls.
• Ensure laboratories are clean, safe, and compliant with cGMP.
• Maintain accurate and complete test records and be audit-ready.
• Provide results within pre-determined turnaround time and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and co-workers.

Requirements

• MS/PHD in Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology or equivalent with 1+ years' relevant experience in microbiology; or BS/BA with 4+ years' experience; or Associate degree with 5+ years' experience; or High school diploma with 7+ years' experience in Microbiology.
• 2+ years GMP/GLP laboratory/FDA experience required.
• Excellent documentation and writing skills.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and multitask effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Related training certifications and self-learning are a plus.
• Clean room experience.
