About the position

As a Microelectronics Manufacturing Quality Expert Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to defense clients, focusing on state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing quality and process engineering. Your role will involve advising government entities on advanced technology node access and capabilities, leveraging your extensive experience in semiconductor processing. You will be responsible for defining strategies and technology assessment methods that facilitate a shared understanding of defense packaging objectives. This includes testing and evaluating various technologies, as well as developing roadmaps, business models, and technology models aimed at enhancing access and collaboration in the future. Your expertise will span advanced processing for semiconductors, including process development, modeling, simulation, and characterization. You will be expected to perform analytical calculations related to semiconductor process technologies, providing accurate technical assessments of various approaches. This will guide the development of technology roadmaps that inform industry activities and align with defense needs, particularly in advanced microelectronics. You will also evaluate the performance of various technologies and vendors, defining a comprehensive technology and business roadmap for senior stakeholders. In this role, you will work closely with a team of professionals, contributing to Booz Allen's mission of delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges faced by defense clients. Your ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, will be crucial as you present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in semiconductor manufacturing quality and process engineering.
  • Advise government clients on advanced technology node access and capabilities.
  • Define strategies and technology assessment methods for defense packaging objectives.
  • Test and evaluate semiconductor technologies and develop roadmaps for improved access and collaboration.
  • Perform analytical calculations of semiconductor process technologies and provide technical assessments.
  • Evaluate the performance of various technologies and vendors, defining a technology and business roadmap.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working directly for a semiconductor foundry in a quality, manufacturing, engineering, or technical capacity.
  • 5+ years of experience with the design and analyses of semiconductor process technologies.
  • Knowledge of new semiconductor foundry processes and architectures, silicon and compound semiconductor materials, device physics, and carrier transport mechanisms.
  • Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and foundry process technologies, including current gaps and ongoing research efforts.
  • Ability to perform analytical calculations and provide accurate technical assessments of semiconductor processes.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Nuclear Physics preferred.
  • Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Nuclear Physics a plus.
