About the position

The Microscopy Account Manager at Leica Microsystems is responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships in New York City. This fully remote position requires up to 60% travel and focuses on expanding direct sales and profit margins for Leica's microscopy products and services. The role involves strategic account management, funnel generation, and ensuring customer satisfaction through collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies with the selling team to generate sales funnel and increase market share of Leica products in the assigned territory.
  • Identify selling opportunities across product lines, focusing on lead generation in confocal and widefield product portfolios.
  • Partner effectively with Sales Managers, Customer Service Technicians, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the sales pipeline rigorously from opportunity creation to closing deals, utilizing Salesforce for opportunity management.
  • Generate appropriate field data and application notes to highlight product benefits and differentiate Leica products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Success in selling products of a technical nature is desired.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Microscopy / Imaging / Application.
  • Strong relationship building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of specific areas of work such as Commercial, Government, or University.
