About the position

The Microscopy Account Manager at Leica Microsystems is responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships in New York City. This role focuses on expanding direct sales and profit margins for LMS products and services, while ensuring customer satisfaction and effective funnel management. The position requires collaboration with various teams to meet sales targets and promote Leica's advanced microscopy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies with the selling team to generate sales funnel and increase market share of Leica products in the assigned territory.
  • Identify selling opportunities across product lines, focusing on lead generation in confocal and widefield product portfolios.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by partnering effectively with Sales Managers, Customer Service Technicians, Engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the sales pipeline rigorously from opportunity creation to closing deals, utilizing Salesforce for opportunity management.
  • Work with customers to generate field data and application notes that highlight product benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Success in selling products of a technical nature is desired.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Microscopy / Imaging / Application.
  • Strong relationship building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of specific areas of work such as Commercial, Government, or University.
