About the position

The Microsoft 365 Administrator position in Allentown, PA, is a contract role that spans a duration of 6+ months, with the possibility of extension. The primary focus of this role is to manage and administer Microsoft 365 services, ensuring that all functionalities are operating smoothly and efficiently. The administrator will be responsible for implementing and managing Microsoft Conditional Access Rules, which are crucial for maintaining security and compliance within the organization. This includes managing litigation holds, creating holds manually in Microsoft Purview for emails, Teams messages, and OneDrive, and utilizing scripts for bulk operations when necessary. The role also involves setting litigation hold attributes in Active Directory and Exchange, as well as conducting specific investigations to pull emails and Teams messages for HR purposes. In addition to these responsibilities, the Microsoft 365 Administrator will provide permissions to other users in the Purview portal, particularly for legal personnel. The role extends to managing the Power Platform, where the administrator will create Power BI workspaces and configure associated Active Directory groups. Reviewing use case requests and providing general troubleshooting and support for Power Apps and Power Automate will also be part of the job. The administrator will maintain the latest updates for the Center of Excellence (COE) and manage SharePoint projects, ensuring high-level management and troubleshooting as needed. This includes managing storage space and purchasing new storage licenses when necessary. The administrator will also handle support tickets, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner while working closely with users. This involves ensuring that approvals are received for various requests, including site admin changes and new SharePoint site requests. The role requires facilitating external user creation and supporting Entra ID, which includes troubleshooting user sign-in issues and managing conditional access, multi-factor authentication (MFA) resets, and authenticator setups. The Microsoft 365 Administrator will be aware of incidents and communicate issues throughout the company, requesting credits against applicable outages when necessary. Overall, the role is centered around providing comprehensive support and management of Microsoft 365 services, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally and securely.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Conditional Access Rules.
  • Create and manage litigation holds in Microsoft Purview for emails, Teams messages, and OneDrive.
  • Utilize scripts for bulk operations related to litigation holds as necessary.
  • Set litigation hold attributes in Active Directory and Exchange.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in Microsoft M365 Administration (Preferred).
  • 4 years of experience with Power Platform (Preferred).
  • Ability to commute to Allentown, PA (Required).
  • Ability to relocate to Allentown, PA before starting work (Required).
