About the position

The Microsoft 365 Architect role is designed to lead the strategic development and implementation of Microsoft 365 solutions to enhance organizational efficiency and improve employee experience. This position involves collaboration with various departments to align solutions with Goodwill NNE's strategic plan and IT roadmap, ultimately supporting digital transformation and modernizing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Information Technology Service Management software to track support request tickets and determine the best solution based on customer issues.
  • Leverage expertise in Microsoft 365 power platforms to build custom applications, automate workflows, generate analytics, and create conversational agents.
  • Manage SharePoint Online, including modern sites, document management, collaboration tools, and enterprise content management.
  • Integrate solutions with Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, OneDrive, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange Online.
  • Design and implement Microsoft 365 solutions that align with organizational objectives.
  • Define technical requirements, solution blueprints, and oversee Power Platform implementations.
  • Lead migration and modernization projects from legacy systems to Microsoft 365 platforms, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, governance standards, and compliance for Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Provide technical guidance to IT staff and cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide ongoing support and updates.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
  • Follow best practice change management procedures for network and database systems.
  • Communicate clearly and timely with IT department employees and customers.
  • Participate in assigned meetings and advance professional knowledge through workshops and networking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (equivalent work experience considered).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a similar architect role focusing on Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft 365 Power Platforms and SharePoint management.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices for Microsoft cloud environments.
  • Ability to discuss data and reporting in non-technical language.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Criminal background check that meets Agency standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in designing and implementing complex, large-scale enterprise-level solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and end-user adoption.
  • Experience in retail, community-focused organizations, or non-profit sectors is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in non-profit digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert and SharePoint Expert.
