About the position

The client is seeking a dedicated Azure Cloud Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development and growth of their cloud infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This position is crucial as the client embarks on a global standardization initiative, and the selected candidate will be instrumental in aligning teams to consistent processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of cloud computing technologies, particularly in areas such as networking, security, and application development. The role will initially require onsite presence 2-3 days a week, transitioning to more frequent onsite work as needed. The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and managing Azure cloud services and infrastructure, which includes virtual networks, virtual machines (VMs), and cloud storage solutions. A strong emphasis will be placed on automation and scripting, with the expectation that the candidate will utilize tools and languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform to streamline cloud deployments and operations. Additionally, the candidate must have a solid understanding of security best practices and compliance standards within the Azure environment to ensure data protection and adherence to regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
