About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background and be proficient in data management and visualization tools. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions, while collaborating closely with various departments to ensure data integrity and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Document external data acquisition policies and procedures.
  • Interface with other business units to define and document data needs and ad-hoc analysis requirements.
  • Identify business practice workflow and process issues and concerns.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to define system and process requirements that will optimize system performance and technology utilization by system users.
  • Design information systems and technologies that ensure access and transparency.
  • Develop, implement, organize, and maintain information and reports to document operational and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with the quality team and administrators to design ad hoc and routine reports.
  • Monitor quality programs and make efforts to improve them.
  • Compile data from multiple sources and import it into the relevant database.
  • Select appropriate tools and methods to maintain existing programs ensuring appropriate data transfer and documentation of reports.
  • Assist with analysis of external data definitions documentation and mapping process.
  • Perform Quality Assurance for data integration processes and repository metrics.
  • Collaborate with staff to document data needs and metric definitions.
  • Validate data load processes and the quality of data loaded into repositories.
  • Maintain, store, map, and analyze data in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with LAN and IT Security teams to utilize PGP encryption software and File Transfer Protocols.
  • Use software such as SAS, Access, and Excel for data mapping and integration using Business Objects and SQL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Required)
  • 4 years of SQL experience (Required)
  • 3 years of experience with PGP encryption software (Required)
  • 2 years of experience with LAN and IT Security (Required)

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of basic statistical concepts
  • Experience in data mining/intelligence
  • Ability to create infographics and data display techniques
  • Experience in report design options
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
