About the position

The Microsoft .NET Core/ SQL Server Developer will work in a hybrid role for a government client in Columbus, Ohio. This position involves collaborating with IT supervisors, project managers, and other developers in an agile environment to gather requirements, design applications, develop, test, deploy, and provide technical support. The role focuses on new application development and supporting legacy applications using various technologies including .NET, C#, Java, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, and SQL Server. The consultant will also be responsible for porting Java code to C# and must demonstrate technical competence during the interview process.

Requirements

• 10 years of verifiable experience as a .NET Web Developer developing ASP.NET Core.
• 4 years of experience with MVC applications.
• 10 years of verifiable ASP.NET experience developing with C#.
• 2 years of verifiable experience with Java.
• 2 years of verifiable experience with Microsoft C# .NET Core or .NET 8.
• 10 years of verifiable experience with SQL Server Database Design and development.
• 10 years of application experience developing applications using Entity Framework (EF) 4.0 or later.
• 5 years of experience creating design mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code.
• 5 years of experience with consuming RESTful APIs.
• 10 years of verifiable Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience.
• 10 years of experience with code repository strategies using Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• 5 years of verifiable experience implementing AJAX enabled controls within ASP.NET Web applications.
• 5 years of verifiable experience developing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Demonstrable understanding of secure coding practices for ASP.NET MVC applications.
• 2 years of experience in Test Driven Development (TDD).
• 5 years of experience developing with Visual Studio, including 2 years with Visual Studio 2019.
• 5 years of experience with TFS/Azure DevOps including git, boards, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience developing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud computing, containers, Kubernetes.
• 3 years of ETL development experience.
• MCPD certification.
• Experience developing reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience with JQuery and JavaScript.
