About the position

We are seeking a motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team at a rapidly growing IT firm in Kirkland, WA. This full-time position involves maintaining and supporting our Windows server infrastructure, Active Directory environment, and various client systems. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a passion for technology, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional IT services as a Managed Service Provider (MSP).

Responsibilities

• Maintain Windows server infrastructure, including backups, OS/firmware patching, and monitoring performance.
• Maintain Active Directory environment in our network and on subscribed services.
• Support M365/Azure/AWS client environments.
• Perform day-to-day support activities to maintain employee systems: telephony, desktop, and network access.
• Procure and deploy new software and hardware as needed.
• Maintain software licensing and a license library to track available and used resources.
• Train employees in the use of software and hardware as needed.
• Provide clear and calm support in the event of an emergency.
• Stay current on emerging technology and provide recommendations for future technology investments.
• Interact with employees to understand their workflows and seek creative ways to improve them with technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server (2019 & 2022), Active Directory, and Office 365.
• Experience with AWS and Azure environments.
• Familiarity with remote access software and VPNs.
• Knowledge of computer networking and monitoring tools like Solarwinds.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ConnectWise.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with server migrations.
• Networking experience is a plus.
