About the position

Coldwater Creek is seeking a passionate Software Engineer/Microsoft Software Architect to leverage Microsoft technologies in creating innovative solutions. This role focuses on designing and developing cutting-edge applications that enhance the omnichannel retail experience, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure systems that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP Engineering to design and develop solutions using .NET, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, and SQL Server.
  • Interact with omnichannel eCommerce channels to fulfill orders from online stores and marketplaces.
  • Integrate systems through APIs, data transfers, and ETL processes to ensure robustness, scalability, and security.
  • Architect, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions using MS Azure and SQL, handling large datasets for analysis and reporting.
  • Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend new features to enhance solution performance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a systems architect or similar role with a strong emphasis on data architecture and Microsoft technologies.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture roles.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • 3+ years of development experience in C#, X++, or .NET.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure including cloud architecture.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in automated build/deployment processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of payment gateways and credit card processing systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
  • Agile-based software development experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Retail-specific experience in eCommerce, ERP systems, and retail supply chain and business processes.
  • Experience using complex ETL solutions (e.g., Boomi, Celigo, Azure Data Factory, SSIS).
  • Familiarity with low/no-code tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
