About the position

LeapFrogBI LLC is seeking a full-time Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing Developer to join their remote team. This senior-level position focuses on delivering data-driven solutions to small and mid-market companies, leveraging expertise in SQL Server and Power BI. The role involves building and maintaining data warehouses, developing reports and dashboards, and collaborating with clients to solve business problems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases.
• Develop and implement dimensional models for data warehousing.
• Create semantic models, reports, dashboards, and apps using Power BI.
• Build SSIS packages for data integration purposes.
• Develop paginated reports in SSRS or Power BI.
• Consult with multiple clients and manage workloads effectively.
• Track tasks and report billable hours using Kanban methodology.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI.
• Strong T-SQL skills.
• Experience in data warehousing and dimensional modeling (Kimball method).
• Proficient in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with full-stack development.
• Consulting experience with multiple clients.
• Familiarity with task tracking using Kanban boards.
