About the position

The Phone Systems Administrator will provide Level 2/3 support for Office 365 back-office applications, including Teams Voice, InTune, and SCCM. This role involves overseeing infrastructure applications, resolving technical issues, and ensuring high customer service standards. The position requires proactive monitoring of applications and participation in change and incident management processes. The administrator will also support the installation and configuration of various infrastructure applications and troubleshoot VoIP and phone systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees infrastructure applications, including Office 365 back-office suite and Exchange mail.
  • Provides Tier 3 support for infrastructure applications and resolves technical issues for internal clients and external customers.
  • Proactively monitors infrastructure applications using industry-standard monitoring tools.
  • Participates in scheduled change management and incident management as needed.
  • Documents changes and actions in the change management system and service management system.
  • Shares knowledge and training with other staff members to ensure efficient cross-training.
  • Supports the installation, configuration, and ongoing operation of infrastructure applications such as Office 365, MS Exchange Online, SharePoint, InTune, and Teams.
  • Applies patches and upgrades regularly and assists in system deployments and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots and supports VoIP, UCaaS, call queues, auto-attendants, and SBC routing.
  • Coordinates service requirements, installations, and project milestones with team members.
  • Takes ownership of user problems and communicates progress promptly.
  • Maintains high customer service for all support queries and adheres to ITIL service management principles.
  • Identifies and learns appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
  • Meets department service level agreements (SLA).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in system engineering, system administration, application administration, or related technology support roles.
  • Good PowerShell scripting abilities for automating system administrative duties and data workflow processes.
  • Valid Texas Class A, B, or C driver's license with no recent DWI convictions and limited moving violations.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination that includes a drug screen.
  • Proficiency in PC software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
