About the position

The Mid Accountant position at Penske is designed for an ambitious individual who will provide top-tier support to the Operational Accounting team. This role focuses on vehicle accounting processes, requiring strong organizational skills and a customer-centric approach. The accountant will collaborate with a global team and internal customers, ensuring effective communication and oversight in accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the vehicle accounting related processes in review and analysis.
• Provide measures to increase overall efficiency and effectiveness of the process.
• Research and resolve escalations from management, global team, or internal customers.
• Communicate confidently and effectively with process partners within the Penske network.
• Prepare daily and monthly journal entries, as well as account reconciliations and provide resolution to open items.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• 1+ years' experience in accounting or finance required.
• Accounting/Finance degree or equivalent experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
• Experience with AS400 and/or OneStream XF preferred.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statements preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Analytical skills required.
