About the position
Forge Group, LLC is seeking a Mid-level AF Auditor/Accountant to support the United States Air Force in various Accounting and Audit projects. This role involves financial analysis, advisory, and documentation, focusing on business and financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, stakeholder management abilities, and effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records.
- Prepare financial statements and provide financial advisory services.
- Create and maintain financial and procedural documentation related to accounting and audit operations.
- Identify problems, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions.
- Engage and manage expectations of various stakeholders.
- Negotiate requirements, timelines, and resources with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Convey technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
- Create comprehensive and understandable documentation and reports.
- Present findings and recommendations effectively to different audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related Business or Financial field.
- Four (4) or more years of relevant work experience in accounting or audit.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Demonstrable experience in business, financial, audit, and accounting projects.
- Ability to pass a Tier 2 background check for employment as a federal contractor.
