About the position

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data science solutions.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems.
  • Utilize Python and essential data science libraries to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making processes.
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning technologies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or Applied Scientist.
  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions using diverse technologies, with Python as the core programming language.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders throughout the product delivery lifecycle.
  • Evidence of innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with using Large Language Models for generative AI projects.
  • Understanding of data splitting techniques and generalization principles.
  • Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python and essential data science libraries (pandas, numpy, sklearn, PyTorch).
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Solid understanding of probability and statistics concepts (distributions, Bayesian inference, maximum likelihood estimation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with various machine learning algorithms and experience with deep learning libraries (PyTorch or TensorFlow).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with software development and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of statistical learning and applied mathematics.
