About the position

As a Mid Business Analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will work with an Agile team to develop digital products that support clients' missions, focusing on business analytics and user-friendly client experiences. Your responsibilities will include gathering user requirements, developing user stories, and collaborating with architects, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-value products.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and define system requirements and associated business processes for client applications and systems.
  • Elicit and define requirements directly from stakeholders and translate them into system requirements for developers.
  • Translate and document business needs, processes, and procedures into detailed user stories, process charts, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with developers and testers to ensure a clear understanding of requirements.
  • Support the implementation of tools and features that meet client system needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with direct business analysis and requirements in a DoD environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, and Confluence for Agile development.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, Agile teams to design large-scale digital solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Ability to think critically and use logic to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Ability to break down complex problems, identify dependencies and constraints, and prioritize needs.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • HS diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years of experience as a product owner.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience with wire-framing and prototyping tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Qlik Sense.
  • Knowledge of data science processes and best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree.
