About the position

The Industrial Engineer position at Sikorsky's Aerostructure Product Center focuses on enhancing manufacturing processes and operational efficiencies for Blackhawk derivative airframes and components. The role involves conducting various analyses to support manufacturing operations, optimizing workflows, and implementing efficiency improvements through collaboration with Operations Leadership. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong background in data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support to manufacturing operations through methods analysis, labor performance studies, and cost estimating.
• Conduct man-loading, capacity, and tool-rate analyses to identify efficiency improvements.
• Utilize advanced software tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Office to track and report on manufacturing labor costs and production metrics.
• Collaborate with Operations Leadership to develop and implement plans for revising operating methods and introducing new technologies.
• Analyze production layouts to ensure alignment with future production needs and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation), particularly with Production Operations and Program Offices.
• Experience in a Manufacturing/Union environment with shop floor experience.
• Experience with Analytical and Project Planning Tools including MS Office suite, Tableau, and SAP software.

Nice-to-haves

• Greenbelt Certification or experience leading process improvement activities.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and Cost Performance Index (CPI).
