About the position

Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking a Mid-Level Computer User Support (Help Desk) Specialist to support a Department of Defense (DoD) project. This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located on-site in Kittery, ME. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing technical support and will be responsible for assisting non-IT users with various applications. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with users of varying technical expertise. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team that ensures the smooth operation of IT services and support for the project. The position demands a minimum of three years of experience in a related information technology (IT) role, specifically in providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support. Experience with Navy IT projects is highly desired, as it will enhance the candidate's ability to understand the specific needs and challenges of the DoD environment. The role will involve troubleshooting issues, providing guidance, and ensuring that users can effectively utilize the technology at their disposal. Candidates must possess an active Secret Clearance and an IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ or another qualifying certification that meets the Department of Defense (DoD) IAT II guidelines. This is a critical position that plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the DoD and ensuring that IT services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support to non-IT users for various applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users.
  • Assist users in understanding and utilizing IT services effectively.
  • Document and track support requests and resolutions in the help desk system.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain knowledge of current IT trends and technologies to provide informed support.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • IAT II certification (Security+ or other qualifying certification to meet the DOD IAT II guideline).
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a related IT job.
  • Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support.
