About the position

Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking a Mid-Level Application Software Developer to support a Department of Defense (DoD) project. This position is contingent upon contract award and will involve working remotely with occasional travel to attend customer meetings in Kittery, ME or Mechanicsburg, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing database-driven IT applications specifically tailored for DoD systems. This role requires a strong understanding of software development processes and the ability to work within DoD guidelines and policies to maintain the operational status of the systems. The developer will be tasked with updating, enhancing, and maintaining IT software code, structures, scripts, and system configurations for both web and client-server applications. Additionally, the role includes providing troubleshooting assistance and analysis for application, database, software, hardware, and interface-related issues. The candidate will also be responsible for documenting code, testing, configuration changes, errors, and resolutions to ensure clear communication with the Change Control Board (CCB). Responsibilities

  • Design and develop database driven IT applications for DOD systems
  • Develop, update, enhance, and maintain IT software code, structures, scripts, and system configurations for web and client-server type applications
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and analysis to customers and other activities for application, database, software, hardware and/or interface related issues
  • Operate within DOD guidelines and policies to maintain the operational status of the system, correct faults, introduce enhancements, improve performance, consolidate, or adapt the system to changing environments or requirements
  • Provide CCB with documentation on code, testing, configuration changes, errors and resolutions

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance is required
  • IAT II (Security+ or other qualifying certification to meet the DOD IAT II guideline)
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer or information science degree is required
  • A minimum of three years of experience designing and developing database driven IT applications in one or more software languages such as C++, Java/J2EE, Visual Basic, .NET, HTML/XML, PowerBuilder, and/or Delphi
  • Navy IT project experience highly desired
