About the position

The Mid-Level Cyber Security Analyst position at V2X is a critical role that supports the execution of Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) research and development (R&D) programs. This position is located on-site in Patuxent River, MD, and requires the candidate to possess an active U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance. The analyst will be responsible for coordinating all technical activities of the program office, ensuring alignment with sponsor desires and sound engineering practices. This role is essential in providing support to programs at NAVAIR, which focuses on the research, development, acquisition, and sustainment of the Navy's Autonomous Aircraft program. In this position, the analyst will engage in identifying and developing program-level and cross-project technical guidance on cybersecurity. They will represent the program in interactions with numerous stakeholders and technical exchange forums, assessing technical risks and proposing mitigation alternatives related to cybersecurity. The analyst will also tailor engineering standards and controls to provide appropriate technical oversight of technology efforts, create and track project technical transition criteria, and perform other technical support duties as assigned by the Program Lead or Cyber Lead. The role requires a proactive approach to managing cybersecurity challenges in a dynamic and complex environment, ensuring that all activities align with the overarching goals of the program and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and developing program-level / cross-project technical guidance on cybersecurity.
  • Interaction and program representation with numerous stakeholders and technical exchange forums.
  • Assessment of technical risk and mitigation alternatives in regards to cybersecurity.
  • Tailoring of engineering standards and controls for appropriate technical oversight of technology efforts.
  • Creation and tracking of project technical transition criteria.
  • Other technical support duties as may arise from either the Program Lead or the Cyber Lead.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or management field from an accredited college or university.
  • Active U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience with cyber related activities in a DoD research and development (R&D) procurement.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating operations across multiple organizational boundaries.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment.
