About the position

The Designer position at IDF Studio is a full-time role focused on supporting both residential and commercial interior design projects. The role emphasizes a blend of creativity, project management, and effective communication, allowing the designer to contribute to various aspects of design projects while working closely with Senior Designers and the CEO. The position is hybrid, requiring regular travel to project sites within the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Designers with site measures and space planning.
• Assist in sourcing materials and budgeting for projects.
• Communicate and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Oversee project installations and styling.
• Assist with purchasing and expediting alongside the purchasing agent.
• Run individual projects with supervision from senior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-7 years of related experience in interior design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Experience with construction documents.
• Good balance of creative and organizational skills.
• Excellent management and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using Studio Designer.
• IDEX, NCIDQ, LEED, or similar certification or coursework.
