Leidos Defense Sector is looking for a Mid-Level Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team in Huntsville, AL. This role focuses on creating innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, particularly in electrical design and integration for defense systems. Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and integrate solutions for electrical system designs.
• Focus on electrical design and integration for the Enduring Shield ground-based force protection system.
• Participate in the design of electrical architectures and integrated systems for various mission-critical systems including flight systems, sensors, ground vehicles, and space hardware.
• Conduct high-speed and mixed signal schematic design and simulation.
• Perform system-level electrical design including cable design specification and cable drawings.
• Engage in parts selection and derating activities.
• Conduct new PCB hardware design verification testing.
• Support system-level integration activities.
• Design and assemble Special Test Equipment (STE).

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in electrical hardware design engineering.
• Proficiency in high-speed and mixed signal schematic design and simulation.
• Experience with system-level electrical design and cable design specifications.
• Knowledge of parts selection and derating activities.
• Experience in PCB hardware design verification testing.
• Ability to support system-level integration activities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with defense, space, or cyber systems.
• Familiarity with integrated systems for flight systems and sensors.
