About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Mid-Level ETL Developer for a contract position that is fully remote. The role involves promoting ETL development best practices, participating in projects that require in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, and providing technical analysis to meet client business objectives. The developer will be responsible for developing, documenting, and testing ETL interfaces, as well as providing post-deployment support and troubleshooting ETL jobs.

Responsibilities

• Promote and implement ETL development best practices utilizing Python.
• Participate in and potentially lead projects requiring analysis of systems or data.
• Evaluate complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
• Develop, document, and test ETL interfaces.
• Design and develop workflows, sessions, and mappings in DataStage.
• Provide post-deployment support and resolve defects.
• Evaluate functional requirements and perform troubleshooting on development processes.
• Collaborate with application groups to prepare effective solutions for all programs.
• Document all technical specifications and project deliverables.
• Design test cases and perform unit tests.
• Provide sporadic production support for reported issues.
• Analyze and understand data at source and target systems to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Python Development Experience
• SQL Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of IT Experience
• Experience with database design, querying, stored procedures, views, joins, and performance tuning.

Nice-to-haves
