About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Mid-Level ETL Developer for a contract position that allows for 100% remote work. The role focuses on promoting and applying ETL development best practices, primarily utilizing Python, and involves leading projects that require in-depth analysis of complex business processes and systems. The developer will be responsible for designing, documenting, and testing ETL interfaces, as well as providing post-deployment support and troubleshooting ETL jobs.

Requirements

• Python Development Experience
• SQL Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of IT Experience
• Experience with performance tuning of data jobs and pipelines

Responsibilities

• Promote and apply ETL development best practices utilizing Python
• Participate on (and may lead) projects requiring in-depth evaluation of complex business processes and systems
• Experience with database design, querying, stored procedures, views, joins, and performance tuning
• Understand client business objectives and perform technical analysis
• Develop, document, and test ETL interfaces
• Design and develop workflows, sessions, and mappings in DataStage
• Provide post-deployment support and defect resolutions
• Evaluate functional requirements and perform troubleshooting on development processes
• Collaborate with application groups to prepare effective solutions
• Document all technical specifications and project deliverables
• Design test cases and perform unit tests
• Provide sporadic production support for reported issues
• Troubleshoot ETL jobs and fix issues based on priorities
• Analyze and understand data at source and target systems to resolve issues
